FAQ
Am I still able to enrol in a certain class?
Enrollment remains open until the second week of every semester. Please also remember, that you can still modify your learning agreement.
How to enroll?
Since our Institute does not have any specific IT enrolment system, students interested in a specific course can simply contact the course instructor. We recommend writing an introductory e-mail and going to the first classes, so that the teacher can write down your name and share it with the administration office. They will then assign you to the course in the USOS system. It is always a good idea to attend the first classes to meet the professor, to learn about the programme and about the passing requirements. Remember to use you university e-mail address in the uwr.edu.pl domain when contacting professors.
Whom do we accept?
There are approximately 20 free slots for Erasmus+ students in each course. We accept all students from the University of Wroclaw, regardles of whether your Erasmus+ agreement is signed by our Institute, or by another one. All of the courses we conduct are part of the MA in European Studies programme, however, we accept both BA and MA students.
Am I only allowed to take classes offered by the Institute of European Studies, or can I also take classes at other institutes?
Even if your Erasmus+ agreement is signed by the Institute of European Studies, you are not restricted to taking only the courses offered by our Institute. However, please bear in mind that each Institute has its own registration rules, and the number of available spots may be limited. You should check the websites of the respective Institutes for information about courses offered by other units and the procedure of registration. Some of the courses can also be found at: https://international.uni.wroc.pl/en/incoming-exchange-students/university-guidelines-all-exchange-students
In other words: Yes, you may choose courses offered by any unit at the University, provided that your coordinator at the sending university approves your selection. However, please be aware that the number of available places and the registration system may differ from those at the Institute of European Studies. We recommend that you consult the websites of the relevant institutes for detailed information. Please also bear in mind that if you include courses from other institutes, your Learning Agreement will be signed conditionally. The coordinator at our Institute cannot guarantee that you will be admitted to courses offered by other institutes, even if your Learning Agreement has already been signed.
The course registration procedure at the Institute of International Relations and Security Studies is outlined below.
How can I find out about updates and stay in contact with the course instructors?
This can be done through the university e-mail account on Outlook. It is available as an app for Android and IOS as well. Remeber to check your mailbox regularly!

Usually, the class schedule and the full list of available courses are published one or two weeks before the start of each semester. This may also happen due to the limited number of spots in courses offered by other Institutes. The fact that your Learning Agreement has been accepted does not guarantee that you will be able to attend courses offered by other Institutes. This limitation does not apply to courses offered by the Institute of European Studies.
