Aleksandra Maatsch (PhD Prof UWr) is a professor of Political Science and Head of the Jean Monnet Chair at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wroclaw. She graduated from the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest and received her PhD in political science from the University of Bremen in Germany (2011).
She then worked at the Institute of Public Affairs (IPP-CSIC) in Madrid, the University of Cambridge (POLIS), the Max Planck Institute in Cologne and the University of Cologne (Acting as Head of the Department of European and Multilevel Politics).
Professor Aleksandra Maatsch obtained her habilitation at the University of Chemnitz (Germany). She specialises in comparative European politics and legislative studies, and her research has been published in various journals such as West European Politics, Journal of Common Market Studies and Journal of European Public Policy.
