Dr. Bornio is an adjunct professor and the Deputy Director for International Cooperation at the Institute of European Studies, a senior analyst at the Institute of Central Europe in Lublin, and an analyst at the American think tank, the Jamestown Foundation. He is a visiting professor at the Maciej Korwin University in Budapest and a guest lecturer at several foreign universities. In his research he focuses on the eastern dimension of European security. For several years, Dr. Bornio has been researching the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on regional security. He is a former employee of the Regional Representation of the European Commission and a permanent collaborator of the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe.
