Erasmus+ BIP Covilhã Portugal – Call for Applications
Our Institute has been invited to take part in a one-week-long Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program at the University of Beira Interior in Covilhã, Portugal. Therefore, we are now opening a call for applications! The course offers a diverse range of sessions and brings together several national and international experts and students to explore both theoretical and practical dimensions. The program is divided into a physical and a virtual part. The physical part is planned to take place for five days (17/06 – 21/06) and the virtual part for 15 hours over two weeks beforehand (01/06 – 15/06).
Name of the BIP: Communication and Power in the 21st century (3 ECTS)
Who can apply? Bachelor, Master and PhD students
This course aims to contribute to studying the relationship between communication and power in the 21st century. The study of political phenomena today is directly linked to the workings, tools and impact of the media and the process of digitization and control of information is crucial to analyzing the workings of political systems and electoral processes. In a period of propaganda, fake news, and post-truth, it is important to decode the concepts and understand the dynamics of how society works, with communication as a fundamental pillar.
This is an opportunity to experience a truly international week, immersing yourself in the culture of the Portuguese countryside while also benefiting from an international atmosphere.
